De certeza que muitos de vocês já foram à praia este ano e se aperceberam de como estavam limpas. Para podermos continuar a desfrutar com prazer da nossa costa, é necessário respeitar o meio ambiente. Apesar de se levarem a cabo muitas iniciativas ecologistas, o cuidado com as praias é uma tarefa que só funcionará se nos implicarmos entre todos.
1. Respeite o ambiente que o rodeia. Não arranque plantas nem retire os animais marinhos ou outros seres vivos das suas praias e mar.
2. Não atire lixo para o chão, utilize os contentores próprios separando os residuos. É necessário o aumento de uma recolha seletiva de lixo. Em Portugal recicla-se apenas 17% do lixo municipal produzido.
3. Não verta liquidos contaminantes no mar.
4. Guarde as pontas de cigarros num recipiente que não seja inflamável e que possa transportar consigo. As pontas de cigarros não são biodegradáveis e, tendo em conta o seu pequeno tamanho, podem permanecer nas praias durante 2 anos.
5. Poupe a água dos duches das praias. Mesmo que não seja você a pagar essa factura, recorde que a água é um bem escasso. Permaneça debaixo do duche apenas o tempo necessário para retirar a areia do corpo.
6. Utilize meios de transporte ecológicos para ir à praia. Um passeio a pé ou de bicicleta são a forma mais ecológica de o fazer além de proporcionarem o contacto com a natureza.
7. Se encontrar animais presos na costa (crustáceos ou peixes de grande porte), avise a Proteção Civil para que tenham conhecimento e actuem em conformidade.
8. Não pesque fora das áreas concessionadas para esse fim.
9. Se gosta da prática de mergulho, não toque em nenhuma planta ou animal. Deixe-os viver tranquilos e observe somente como se relacionam entre si e vivem em perfeita harmonia.
10. Divirta-se, sinta as ondas e caminhe pela costa! E volte frequentemente.
